GABA - Round One to the Union

Boxing gloves Christmas Eve saw the Osaka Labor Commission rule that GABA teachers are employees under Trade Union law. This is a major victory but it does not mean working conditions will change immediately. The union and GABA teachers now need to use this ruling to win employee working conditions such as paid leave, travel allowances, unemployment insurance etc. Find out how you can participate.

We are holding a series of open meetings to discuss the next steps.

• NO unemployment insurance
• NO health and pension insurance
• NO overtime and premium rates
• NO guaranteed salary
• NO job security
• NO right to challenge unfair dismissals

Find out what the union is doing to change this.
